Insulation Installation

SUSTAINABLE
FUTURE

To help secure the sustainable long-term future of Watford Colosseum and the Town Hall, a range of energy efficiency measures have been installed in the 1930s, Grade II listed buildings. This includes over 180 solar panels.

BECOMING CARBON NEUTRAL

Councillors declared a climate emergency and pledged to make the council’s own carbon emissions net zero carbon by the end of 2030.

To support its commitment to sustainability, the council has been awarded £3.2m government funding as part of the Public Sector  Decarbonisation Scheme run by Salix. It has been used to:

⦿ refurbish windows,

⦿ improve heating control and ⦿ improve lighting

⦿ introduce cavity wall insulation ⦿ installation of photovoltaic panels and storage
