Watford Museum has secured nearly £2.5 million from The National Lottery Heritage Fund to move into the historic Town Hall. Expect a dynamic, interactive experience celebrating Watford’s unique heritage with three new galleries.
The council has secured £16 million in Government funding for its ambitious plans for the Town Hall and Watford Colosseum.
o truly revitalise this neighbourhood, the most important step is to remove the pedestrian underpass, which currently divides the city in two. That pedestrian underpass, like all the pedestrian underpasses in Watford, creates degradation and spoils the entire area. Cars should pass underneath, while pedestrians should be above, as it should be. Additionally, roads such as the A411 and A412, which feel more like motorways, should be diverted outside Watford, or, if necessary, tunnels for traffic should be created beneath the city, possibly with gardens above these tunnels.
